What's good for the goose is still good for the gander...
Okay, so what, i'm like 8 months late in posting a new blog. To be honest, there are a number of reasons why i slacked with posting here. In part, the reasons were based on feelings of limitation on personal expression. i would hate to give more credit to Obama than what he is due (maybe), but seeing some glimmer of "hope" for the future of a dissident (to any degree), getting into a position of serious power in this country makes me believe that the tide is perhaps changing. With that said, i am again opening my mouth, albeit more cautiously than i have in the past (and by "past" i am referring to a time before blogging).So the economy is crumbling, more folks are on Foodstamps than ever before in history, foreign Western nations are terming it a new "Great Depression," the Neo-Cons on Clear Channel are saying that everything is fine and that it's all a big ploy of the "liberal media," to scare up a Democratic victory in the Fall... All i know is what i see: at any given trip to the super market in middle class suburbs of Ohio, i see at least someone with an EBT Foodstamp card, paying for their groceries. Years ago, i did not see this. Something has changed. Maybe it is the pointless Trillion Dollar war machine? Maybe it was the tax breaks for the rich? Who knows? Who cares? The point is that this is a broken economy, and a broken country.
So Bush tries to alleviate the economic pain by borrowing shit loads of money from China to give fake tax breaks to folks in the U.S. Yes this is the same China oppressing Tibet, and the same China selling corpses of executed political prisoners (even pregnant ones), to the "Bodies" exhibit (see mySpace blog about this).
...and yes, this is the same China who is now taking a tip from the Bush administration to demonize political opponents under the pretext of them being "terrorists." You can't make this stuff up, read it and weep: China: Tibetans Planning Suicide Attacks

You forgot to mention, this is the same China we are owing billions if not trillions to, to fund this war we are in, while the Chinese continue to sit back and chuckle, while muttering "Stupid Americans" under their breath. Bush makes me laugh whenever he talks about the economy, the economy is doing well on the top tier of America, that 6% who take in billions every year, that has not changed, however the middle class continue to take a beating. The economy is in shambles, anyone who says otherwise has been asleep the past few years. I sometimes feel like I have to have a co-signer with me whenever I go to the damn supermarket, and don't get me started on Gas, It's the most I've ever seen it, living in Florida, and I cannot imagine what those living in NY and elsewhere must be paying. I have stopped watching the news as of late because it's just gotten to be full of BS or just too damn depressing to watch. We're a far way from coming out of this recession, at this point I don't see an end to it, it's just getting worse, nearly half of the houses in the neighborhoods I've seen are for sale, or foreclosed on and it's only getting worse, inflation is obnoxious, gas and energy costs are through the roof, and the politicians have this great outlook on things... What is it going to take for us to wake up!? People need to wisen up and realize that 4 more years of GWB has done absolutely nothing but hurt this country is more ways than I can think of.
